In her critically acclaimed novels and immensely popular works of nonfiction, Elizabeth Gilbert expands our understanding of creativity, spirituality, and love. The woman Oprah Winfrey called a “rock star author” is among her generation’s most beloved and inspiring voices.

Gilbert, however, is best known for her memoir, Eat Pray Love, which exploded onto the scene in 2006. With over thirteen million copies sold, the #1 New York Times and international bestseller, was adapted into a 2010 film starring Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem, and became so popular that Time Magazine named Elizabeth as one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

In the years since, people around the world have looked to Gilbert for guidance in leading brave, authentic, and creative lives. Gilbert’s bestselling nonfiction treatise, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear, unpacks her own generative process and shares her wise, witty insights into the mysteries of curiosity and inspiration.

“Part inspiration, part how-to,” wrote The Washington Post, “[Big Magic] offers up both a philosophy of creativity and advice for living a more creatively fulfilling life.”  With over one million copies sold, Big Magic underscores Gilbert’s status as a mentor for spiritual seekers and introspective explorers.

In her classes and lectures Gilbert talks about her writing and seizing the opportunity to live a life guided by creativity rather than fear. With over 21 million views, her TED Talk is among the most popular of all time.

BIG MAGIC CREATIVITY & COURAGE WORKSHOP

This is a workshop designed to open up the portals of imagination. You will be invited to explore your dreams and obstacles, learn about all different aspects of your own creative consciousness, and allow your own creativity to find and communicate with you.

You do not need to be a professional artist, writer, or maker in order to join this workshop. You don’t even need to be an amateur artist! The exercises we do will be interesting, approachable and intuitive. All you will need is a notebook, a pen, and an open mind.

My aim is to make the day as gentle and unthreatening as possible. I have led this workshop with everyone from middle school students to Fortune 500 executives (and even the executives could do it!) Truly, this is designed for everyone.

"Fear is always triggered by creativity, because creativity asks you to enter into realms of uncertain outcome.

This is nothing to be ashamed of. It is, however, something to be dealt with."
